What do you mean "bland" color.  Post a pic so we can see it.

I can't post a picture Mag, its in j3d format. Question: when I dragged the custom objects into my map/game folder all I put in was the j3d file is that correct? or do I need to put the j3d & tex folder in the game folder maybe thats the problem  :)

Thanks!
William

You need to put the tex folder in.  Tex is short for texture.  If you ever want to take a picture of what you have in the editor, just hit your print screen button, open your paint program, hit control V and then save the picture.

Mag, I tried to copy the tex files in the game folder first and it keeps asking to overwrite the other tex file and of course I said no Smile  so that didn't work, then I tried like you told me and copied the tex folder in it didn't work, so I tried to copy the complete object folder in like Livery with all the files including the j3d files in my game folder and it still didn't work, "Now when I just copy only the j3d files in the th2003 game folder it works but, the colors are just real bland/grey looking no colors at all, what am I doing wrong? please help me.

Thanks!
William

Try this.  Make a folder in your game folder and name it exactly as the object you are trying to use.  Then put the j3d and the tex file for it in that folder.  See if that works for you.

When you copy tex files over to map editor it will ask you to over write
Do not worry they will not over write files already there it will just replace folder and add the new texture files .

Texture files are what you are missing
